Super Eagles will have three training sessions on an artificial turf to familiarise themselves to the conditions of the pitch they will play their Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifiers against Seychelles on September 7. Coach Gernot Rohr not wanting his wards to feel like fish out water in Seychelles confirmed that the Eagles will train on the artificial turf so that they get used to the conditions.
“We have a good team going into the match. We are confident going to the game against Seychelles.
“We have invited four new players to beef up the team. They are Jamilu Collins, Semi Ajayi, Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Kalu.
“All the new boys will add quality to the team. I want to see goals, victory, a team playing with motivation. The major objective is to see a team that gives joy and entertainment. “We will train three times at a synthetic grass. We want to practice on this special pitch before the game to be used to it and have possibility of playing different brand of football. “I want to see goals and players approaching game with confidence. We must play short and precise passes. It will be interesting for us to prepare ahead of the game. We will be fine.”
