LAGOS State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, DSVRT, has urged corporate organisations in the state to put structures in place or sustain existing structures for  reporting cases of sexual abuse.

Co-ordinator of DSVRT Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi gave the charge when the team embarked on a sensitisation and awareness engagement with corporate organisations on sexual harassment.

Contrary to earlier reported allegations of sexual abuse in Unilever by our correspondent, it was learned that one of the key organisations who partnered with Lagos State on this workshop tour was Unilever Nigeria Plc.

According to the coordinator, the engagement workshop with Staff of Unilever Nigeria Plc on sexual harassment was a successful collaboration and participants were actively engaged. The existing structure available to staff for ethics handling within the organization was also commended.

She said DSVRT had engaged over 100 human resource professionals and psychologists from various corporate organisations at a workshop organised by Employee Assistance Professionals Association.
