It was a day of celebration for students of Continental Bible University College, Okota, Isolo area of Lagos State as the school, on Saturday August 11, 2018, held her fourth convocation ceremony and launched a book titled “Discipleship in times like this” authored by Bishop Dr. J. C Rosecollett Haastrup, the Presiding Chancellor of the institution.

Haastrup said the institution trains  ministers and leaders skills needed to change the way things are done. “When God wants to change anything in the world He goes for a leader. It is important for us to train these people because when they get to positions of authority in any aspect of life, they will be able to deliver God’s mandate”, she said adding“Words cannot express how I feel now. I am so happy that God is using us to fulfill this particular vision. Although it’s capital intensive, it’s a school that is self-sustaining and God is still sustaining  it. Some of our students come from other churches and some are even General Overseers in their ministries.”

Continental Bible University College is a non-denominational institution approved by World Education Service, Canada and  Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).In his own speech, Dr. Stephen Etormi, a lecturer in the school said the requirement for entry for any intending student is a secondary school certificate or a bachelor’s degree. “The most important thing is  determination. This is not just a Bible college; it’s unique in the sense that it’s like a tertiary institution.   It offers interactive classes where issues affecting the society are discussed and biblical solutions are provided ”, he said.
