Enyimba International of Aba will today take destiny in their hands as they lock horns against visiting CARA of Congo Brazzaville in their 2018 CAF Confederations Cup clash at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

CARA put a dent in Enyimba’s title hopes by beating the Peoples Elephants 3-0 in Brazzaville. However, a win today will launch Enyimba back into reckoning in the group C pairings after their famous win against Djoliba in Bamako.

Enyimba, who won back-to-back CAF Champions League titles at the turn of century, need to win if they are to be guaranteed a place in the knockout stages. The Nigerian club currently occupy second spot in their group, level on points with CARA and two points better off than Williamsville AC who host Djoliba AC in Abidjan at the same time.

Enyimba are second in Group C with nine points from five games and they will qualify to the quarter-final as group winners if they defeat current group leaders, CARA at home.

“We have worked very hard for this and are hoping for a comfortable win against CARA. We know there are no easy games and that they defeated us 3-0 in the first leg they will think that they will have it easy once again,” said Enyimba official Farriel Allaputa.
