Seychelles Football Federation has confirmed September 8 for their home game of the 2019 AFCON qualifier against the Super Eagles. The match will kick off 1.30pm Nigeria time.
Secretary-general and CEO of the Seychelles Football Federation, George Bibi in letter to the Nigeria Football Federation said the match will be played at the Stade Linite on the Mahe Island.
The Super Eagles will assemble in France from where they catch a commercial airline to Victoria, the capital city of Seychelles an archipelago of 115 islands on the western Indian Ocean, off East Africa, and is home to about 100,000 people.
Coach Gernot Rohr has already return to Paris to wait for the players. The Super Eagles need to win the game to be in the reckoning for the group E qualifiers topped by Libya after beating Seychelles 5-1, while Bafana Bafana of South Africa are second on the lot having beaten the Super Eagles 2-0 in Uyo.
Last Friday, Rohr released a list of 24 players invited for the clash, with key players like skipper Mikel John Obi and Moses Simon missing due to injuries. Victor Moses was unavailable for selection after he recently announced his retirement from international football.
