Okija Shrine Killing: Suspects plead not guilty

*Case adjourned to September 28

Two suspects alleged to have murdered one Okeke of Umohi Okija in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state in Okija Shrine yesterday pleaded not guilty before Justice R.O Onunkwo of Ihiala High Court.

The suspects Chidiebube Ewuzie Okeke and Monday Ewuzie Okeke, aged thirty four (34) and forty six (46) respectively pleaded not guilty over the allegation of conspiracy and murder levelled against them.

Justice R.O Onunko who stressed the importance of speedy trial in line with the NJC directives on such cases adjourned the matter to 28th September and 11th and 19th October for hearing of evidence.
