In a bid to promote creativity and the Niger Delta rich cultural heritage among youths, Miss. Rita Ojo has said that the 2018 Niger Delta Fashion and Design Week (NDFDW 2018), will open up business potentials that will facilitate development in the region.
According to Ojo , “The multi-facet event with the theme ‘ Creativity for Enterprise ‘ is aimed at promoting the business of fashion in the region, nurturing emerging talent, and creating a platform for designers to showcase their work to targeted audience.
“It is also a means to identify untapped local and regional markets that will strengthen small and medium scale businesses in the fast growing fashion industry and foster peace, unity in the region hence changing the narrative.
“The Niger delta Fashion and Design Week 2018 will galvanise the region to be the global focus for creativity and commerce by creating opportunities for brand visibility and trade for indigenous businesses.
“The NDFDW 2018 will feature Consumer focused retail exhibition over the 3 Day period featuring the best of design, fashion products, textiles, accessories, jewelry, interior, product, photography, art, craft, innovative products and other ancillary sectors.
“The 2018 Niger delta Fashion and Design Week will provide an opportunity for design competition to scout, train, empower and showcase young talented fashion designers in the region” she added.
