Sango-Ota(Ogun) – A 34-year-old man, Bili Faremi, who allegedly broke into the house of one Chidima Igoreoha, and stole N75,000, was on Friday arraigned in an Ota Magistrates’ Court, Ogun.
Faremi was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on burglary and stealing.
The prosecutor, Chudu Gbesi, told the court that the accused committed the offences on June 14, at about 12.50 a. m. at Igboloye village, on Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun.
Gbesi said that the accused broke into the house of Igoreoha and stole N75,000.
He said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 390(9) and 411(2) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr G. E. Akan, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until July 23 for hearing. (NAN)
