YENAGOA— former governor of Jigawa State and presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Sule Lamido, weekend commended Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State for his developmental strides.
He also berated the All Progressives Congress, APC, describing the party as “blind and clueless.”
According to him, Dickson has been able to transform Bayelsa State through purposeful leadership, and has executed people- oriented projects across the state.
Lamido, who spoke while commissioning the state Secretariat Annex 4 in Yenagoa, as part of his two-day visit to the state, noted that Dickson has changed the fortunes of the state through investments in infrastructure, education and other sectors of the economy.
The presidential aspirant described the civil service, as the engine room of government and for their work to be done effectively, they need a very conducive environment, noting that, such workers and people-friendly projects can only be found in PDP controlled states.
His words: “We are here to celebrate greatness. If nobody applauds you, you will applaud yourself. PDP is the only party that has the capacity to think and initiate projects. APC is blind and clueless, that is why they have not been able to commission anything in the past three years.
“We are proud of you, you are an inspiration, and you are a motivator to the civil servants, which is the engine room for the implementation of every programme and policy of government and by putting structures in place for work to be effectively carried out, is indeed the right step.”
