Matthew 24:10-13 “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be sav-ed.”
Every child of God must real-ize that the world is not heaven and can never be. As long as we are in the world we are bound to suffer affliction or trial which is inevitable for the real child of God. The reason is that this world has been cor-rupted by the enemy who was sent out of heaven and cast down into this world, thus he lost heaven and cannot enter it.
Seeing he cannot make heav-en again, he resorted to hinder believers and those who want to be saved from making it. To test our loyalty to the Creator, God subject us to trials and persecution. I want you to un-derstand that as long as we are in this world affliction, pers-ecution and trials are unavoid-able for the real children of God.
This is because God allows such to serve as instru-ment for our perfection. If you are a child of God and has not experienced affliction, perse-cution or trials in any area of your life, you are not yet a real child of God and may not yet be born again. Every child of God must go through persecut-ion in life. There is no other way to demonstrate our faithful-ness than by having our faith tried.
Acts 14:22 “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and ex-horting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” It is through much tribulation that we will enter into God’s kingdom. If you are not ready to endure trials then you are not fit for the kingdom.
The rough road of trials enables us to pray and depend only on God and if we couldn’t pass through that rough road we may not worship God. God does not want such attitude, He wants us to depend on him, to know that this world is not our own and that we are strangers in this world. He doesn’t want us to relax so that we should not think that we are living by our own power. And when we are persecuted and afflicted, we should remember that it has been the lot of Christians from the beginning.
And that we are treading a path that has been watered by the tears of the saints, and rendered sacred by the shedding of the best blood on the earth. We should know that our Saviour trod that path so it is enough that His follow-ers should be as the master.
If you don’t have persecution and trials you will backslide and go to hell. The moment you be-gin to think that this world is a final place; you will never have time for God. God wants us to understand that as long as we are in this world, we cannot com-pare it to heaven and therefore must endure persecution and trials that are therein.
So, if you must make it, this is the rules, to endure till the end. God all-ows those things you are pass-ing through now in your life so that you as a Pastor or worker should pray to Him to remove it. If you as a pastor or believer have no persecution, you may one day say that there is no God. So, trials and persecution are a must for all believers and nobody is exempted from it be-cause they are the instruments of perfection God allows in your life and they are inevitable.
