The Nigerian Human Rights Community, NHRC,  a group of civil societies  and non governmental organisations, have called on the Federal government to implement the recommendations of the Justice Uwais Panel, recommending Electoral Tribunals for election malpractices offenders to stem election malpractices in Nigeria.

Addressing a media briefing yesterday in Lagos on the outcome of the last week governorship election in Ekiti,  NHRC also suggested that to pick credible and acceptable candidates for elective posts, political parties should adopt direct primaries, which will guarantee mass participation of party members in selection of candidates.
