The Executive Director of Arbico Civil Engineering Construction Firm, Mr. Afolabi Aiyeola, has described the company’s recently bagged international certifications as a call to uphold the highest standards in the industry.
Aiyeola said this against the backdrop of the award of OHSAS 18001: 2007, for Occupational Health Safety and ISO 9001: 2015, for Quality Management System Certifications, following a recent surveillance audit held in March by the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board PECB.
Specifically, ISO 9001:2005 and OHSAS 1800:2007 are the latest international standards certifications that specify requirements for Quality Management System QMS, and Occupational Health and Safety.
According to Aiyeola “For 60 years, Arbico has constructed large scale projects for governments, multinational companies, industrial groups, and individuals; most of which still exist till date. Reaffirming the company’s commitment to uphold the highest quality and safety standards, he said,
“We are very delighted to have earned the ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Certifications. These awards further prove that we put our people first, and we will continually work to improve our quality of services to them.”
The firm’s Marketing Coordinator, Blessing Onyenuwe, said, “These awards could not have come at a better time than now as we approach our diamond anniversary. Our promise to provide the best quality construction services at all times while upholding the highest standards attainable within the industry and globally, remains paramount to us.”
The company is one of the few ISO and OHSAS certified within the industry. In addition to the awards, the company is also certified by the Federation of Construction Industries FOCI, the British Safety Council BSC, and the US Green Building Council USGBC, amongst others.
