Adamawa condemns recent Fulani herdsmen/farmers’ clash

Governor Mohammed  Jibrilla  of Adamawa state has condemned in strong terms the recently attacks on Bujum-koma, Sabon Layi and Bujum yashi communities in Demsa and Numan as well as Kola in Guyuk local government areas of the state.


Governor Jibrilla in a statement by  the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ahmad Sajo and made available to Saturday Vanguard observed that the  spill-over effects of the crisis in Bujum centre of Taraba State has equally resulted in an influx of IDP’S in the affected local government areas.

While frowning at the spate and frequent attacks, the Governor vowed to mobilise all resources to ensure that the situation is brought to a halt as soon as possible.

He noted that the operational unit of the Nigerian Army at the boarder of Adamawa and Taraba States are under one command and are doing everything within their reach in collaboration with other security operatives to secure the affected communities and protect civilian populace.

The Governor also called on the people of the state to embrace peace and peaceful coexistence as the only option for the progress and development of the state and commiserate with the people of the affected communities.
