UGHELLI —Suspected gunmen that invaded Owevwen community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, weekend, reportedly killed a young man with four others sustaining injuries.
The incident is coming less than five days after two youths from the community were also shot to death, with their remains hidden in a bush as a result of a leadership tussle rocking the community.

Residents from the community were said to have fled in their numbers to other surrounding towns over fears of further reprisal attacks as a result of the incidents.
Sources from the community disclosed that after the remains of two youths were discovered in the bush last Wednesday, other youths from the community mobilised and combed the bush in a bid to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to book.
The source, a member of the community executive who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “Youths loyal to the community chairman, Lucky Dietaruvwe, upon getting information that a rival faction suspected to have carried out last Wednesday’s attack are camping in the bush, mobilised in an attempt to apprehend and bring them to book.
“Unfortunately, the youths were ambushed, leading to a shootout which resulted in the death of one person, while a second victim was reported to have lost his life at a private hospital where he was rushed to while several others sustained gunshot wounds.”
