He stated this in Abuja, while receiving the report of a committee constituted on his assumption of office to review the operations of the Amnesty Office towards enhancing its service delivery.
Dokubo said his agenda will include, among others, holding regular consultations with critical stakeholders in the Niger Delta region and embracing teamwork as he strives to actualise President Muhammadu Buhari’s developmental vision for the people of the region.
“Your detailed and painstaking report will shape the policy direction of my tenure and your recommendations will be well considered for implementation. We must work hard as a team to actualise President Buhari’s developmental vision for our region,” he said.
The committee, chaired by Prof. Ayibaemi Spiff, had 11 points of reference and submitted its report in eight volumes. It recommended, among other things, the completion of on-going vocational centre projects, training of outstanding beneficiaries captured in the programme, empowerment of already trained and unempowered ex-agitators, and a review of outstanding contracts.
