LEADER of All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor, has attributed the peaceful conduct of the party’s local government congress in the state to the unity list adopted by key stakeholders of the party in the state.
Addressing newsmen at APC’s secretariat in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state after the congress, Emerhor said: “The reason we had a peaceful congress was that Ughelli North had a unity list that covered all interests. We reconciled ourselves and we came here was just to do affirmation and that was what l understood happened all over the state.
“You remember l led about seven governorship aspirants that came together and we agreed to work together in each of the local government areas so that we don’t fight ourselves.
“We came up with a list that covered everybody’s interest so that we can do a peaceful congress and that was what you saw today.
“Congresses, as long as they cover the interests of the people, generate trust and peace. That is why from Delta North to Delta South, everything has gone very well.”
