Abuja – The police on Thursday arraigned an apprentice, ThankGod Isah, in Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly stealing his master’s cell phone valued at N32,000.

Isah a resident of ECWA Church, Karmo, Abuja, was docked on a count charge of theft.
The prosecutor, Mr Dalhatu Zannah, told the court that one Jacob Adie of Karmo, opposite health centre, reported the matter at the Karmo Police Station on April 19.
Zannah said that the defendant, an apprentice in the complaint’s barbing saloon at Karmo, on April 14, at about 4: 27 p.m. allegedly stole his master’s cell phone valued at N32, 000.
Zannah said police investigation revealed that the defendant specialised in stealing cell phones.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 288 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N20, 000 with a surety in like sum and adjourned the matter until May 28 for hearing. (NAN)
