Nike Fagbule: The making of a household name


Nike Fagbule may not be a household name yet but she is quite renowned in the public relations, advertising, marketing and corporate world for her company and hard work.

While her work is well known and respected, the story of how she got there has been one shrouded in mystery. In the spirit of celebrating highflyers, we will tell this story.

Like all success stories, Nike Fagbule’s journey to greatness began with a goal; she wanted to be an advert executive. It’s what she’d always wanted and a friend who was privy to her dreams introduced her to Ayeni Adekunle, founder of Black House Media.

Five years after she left Black House Media to start her own agency – Zebra Stripes Networks. Unlike others, she didn’t really have the difficulties that most people starting agencies have, mostly because she’d worked in the industry, at one of the top PR agencies and had the needed experience.

While she had to learn the process of hiring and registering her new company, the other aspects were a piece of cake for her because of her experience as a senior manager at Black House Media and her experience working with and leading a creative team.

Nike has since left the newbie tag behind, starting two other agencies, Nota Bene, a digital marketing agency, and Route A.
