OLEH—EX-MILITANTS, on the platform of Justice Group,Tuesday, commended the Federal Government for the steps it had taken to restore peace to the Niger Delta region.

The ex-militants, in a statement by their leaders, ‘General’ David Owhegbe  and ‘General’ Marshall Atake, said: “If the Federal Government can sustain its present initiatives at meeting the needs and aspirations of the people of the Niger Delta, crisis will become a thing of the past in the region.”

Advising youths to remain calm and create the peaceful environment needed for government to develop to the region, the statement urged the “Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Program, Professor Charles Dokubo, to expedite action in documenting and integrating us into the programme.”
