Isoko indigenes get free medical care

NGO trains 1,276 female health workers in Yobe

OLEH—No fewer than 4,500 persons from Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State have received free treatment and medication from the medical outreach of the Minority Leader of House of Representatives, Mr. Leo Ogor.

The medical outreach, managed by Mr. Mohanye Alaba of Peakcorp Investment Limited and aimed at tackling different ailments, was part of the lawmaker’s 2017 constituency projects.

Ogor is representing Isoko federal constituency at the National Assembly.

Speaking at the Oleh township stadium venue of the free medical programme, Ogor, represented by Mr. Joseph Otheremu, said the decision to carry out the free medical outreach stemmed from the desire to make the constituents more productive.

Also speaking, the Director of Operations, Mr. Jude Alaba, disclosed that about 204 surgeries were carried out successfully, explaining that children and the elderly were the major targets of the outreach.
