UMUAHIA—GOVERNOR Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has challenged the South East states to key into the Federal Government’s programmes on Ease of Doing Business, saying it would help them to accelerate the economic development of the region.
According to Ikpeazu, a well organised ease of doing business would be an added impetus for the South-East region to leverage on its strength to ensure business development.
Ikpeazu, who made the call while speaking at the South East Regional Stakeholders Forum on Ease of Doing Business held in Aba, Wednesday, also tasked manufacturers in the zone to ensure high quality of their products even as he made a case for the enforcement of all consumer protection guidelines.
He urged them to work hard to overcome the numerous challenges of doing business and strive to create a friendly business environment for positive growth.
“We must find a way to look at these issues and sort them out before we can achieve a good business environment,” Ikpeazu advised.
