BY KELECHUKWU IRUOMA

UZOTEX Charity Foundation, UCF, has facilitated the presence of National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State to ensure the registration of indigenes of Umuchima, Ogboko and Amarato communities.

Briefing newsmen, founder of the foundation and President of Blue Diamond Logistics, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu said the gesture was aimed at addressing the challenges associated with the absence of National Identity Card.

He further noted that the development was also necessitated by the need to create ease for doing business in the communities, adding that the villagers had suffered given the failure to get them registered.

“As a committed and patriotic Nigerian, I considered it appropriate to support the NIMC by ensuring that all the hitches against the registration of my people are addressed. The people have suffered so much because they could not register to get this valid document which is required for business transactions. I am happy that people are responding. The gesture is in consonance with our vision and commitment.’’
