By Simon Ebegbulem

BENIN CITY— THE people of Ayuele Kingdom Agbede, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, have been thrown into mourning  following the death of their Oba, Alhaji Momoh  Momodu.

The traditional ruler was said to have passed on after a protracted illness at the age of 79.

Son of the deceased, Prince Abdulateef Momodu, who confirmed the development to Vanguard, said the entire community is devastated by his demise “but we cannot query God who is the giver and taker of life.

“My father ascended the throne at the age of 20 and he would have been 80 years in October. He lived a fruitful life, we are grateful to God for giving him long life.”
