Easter: Cleric urges Nigerians to tolerate one another

A cleric, Rev. Maxwell Onyia, has admonished Nigerians to unite and be tolerant of one another to build a peaceful nation.

Onyia, who is in-charge of Anglican Church of Ascension, Enugu, gave the advice in an Easter message on Friday in Enugu.

The cleric also urged community leaders to continue to preach love; while the country’s political leaders should implement programmes that would promote peaceful co-existence among Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic and religious leanings.

He further counseled Nigerians to be security-conscious and alert on the happenings in their environment in order to to fish out mischief-makers before they wreaked havoc.

He lauded security agencies for their sacrifice and efforts to prevent the breach of security in various parts of the country.

The cleric said that the Church would devote its time this season to continue to pray for the good of the land and for God to grant leaders of the country the wisdom to lead the country properly
