College of Education, Warri, Delta State, yesterday, matriculated 511 students with a charge to them to shun vices.
The Provost, Prof (Mrs) Mary Olire Edema, advised the new students to be diligent in their studies.
Edema warned them against cultism, examination malpractice which, according to her, could derail the achievement of their goals in life.
“You must to take charge of any circumstance you find yourselves in and use it to your full advantage because this institution is a citadel for learning”, she said.
The Provost acknowledged the giant strides of the Okowa administration in education especially in the payment of bursary and grant to the college.
She also commended the state Commissioner for Higher Education, Engr. Jude Sinebe, and the school Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Samuel Aghalino, for their efforts to ensure that tertiary institutions in Delta came at par with their counterparts across the country.
