LOKOJA—As calm and normalcy returned to Kogi Central Senatorial district of Kogi State, following a near break down of law and order during Senator Ahmed Ogembe’s empowerment programme, Governor Yahaya Bello has called for peace, urging the people to remain law abiding.
Senator Ahmed Ogembe and four other PDP chieftains’ houses were attacked on Sunday by hoodlums in Okene.
The governor expressed displeasure over the incident and restated the commitment of his administration to security and peaceful coexistence in the state.
The Director General, Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo, who revealed this, urged the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state to restrain from politics of bitterness and acrimony.
