Worried by kidnappings and other vices in the country, Scripture Union, SU, Nigeria, has urged the Federal Government to stem the tide of killings and address all the critical challenges facing the country.
SU stated this in a communiqué by National Chairman, Professor M. O. Iwe; National Director, Mr. Phillips Adewale, and Council Secretary, Mr. Odicha’ Ude, at its 101st council meeting at Okigwe, Imo State.
According to the communique, the Federal Government should look critically, without bias, at the various agitations from many ethnic nationalities to ensure equity and fair play for peaceful and progressive co-existence and also ensure equitable consideration in appointments.
While commending the Federal Government in its fight against corruption, SU called on the government to transparently declare recovered loots.
It further enjoined the Federal Government to address youth restiveness through sustainable employment.
