BIRNIN KEBBI—CHAIRMAN of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kebbi State, Haruna Sa’aidu has said there is no cause for alarm in spite of the recent defection of the former governor of the state, Saidu Dakingari and 257 other members from PDP to All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaking in Birnin Kebbi shortly after PDP executive members met, Sa’aidu said: “I do not look at their defection as a threat or retrogression for PDP.

“Rather, by this develop-ment we now have peace and absolute unity among our teaming supporters.

“When they were with us, they only made noises, caused confusion and distraction.”
