Insecurity, Deaths: Nuns pray for Nigeria

While lovers world over celebrated Valentine’s Day on February 14, reverend sisters converged on MKO Abiola Park in Lagos, for a day of national prayers for the protection of the sanctity and sacredness of human life, following the spate of violence, deaths and killings across the country.

The nuns prayed the Joyful, Luminous and Sorrowful decades of the rosary, walking round the park, led by President of Nigeria Conference of Women Religious, Sis Fidelia Ogujawa; President of the Majors Superiors, Mother Agatha Osareko, and other Major Superiors.

Religious Sisters of Charity, Our Lady of Apostle Sisters, Eucharistic Heart Sisters, Carmelite Missionaries Sisters, St. Louis Sisters and many others were represented at the prayer walk, supported by the Catholic Women Organisation, CWO, and the laity.
