Udoji
Ahmed Garba, Assistant coach of NPFL side, Kano Pillars has revealed that it will be very difficult to replace Chinedu Udoji who recently lost his life in a car crash.
Udoji
Udoji lost his life in an accident after featuring for the whole 90 minutes in a week 9 game against Enyimba that ended 1-1 .
“I have always been amazed at the work rate of Udoji since he joined Kano Pillars. He is so committed and dedicated to his job that it is the only thing we know of him. He doesn’t drink and engage in other social activities”, Garba said.
“He was a very gentle player but firm on the pitch. It will be so hard for Pillars to find a committed player as such as Udoji.
“I know he doesn’t keep late nights and he has led by example throughout his stay with us. He was a player I loved so much and it was the reason I could not gather the courage to go inside to look at his dead body when we got to the mortuary.
“I was told he went to visit his friends at Enyimba’s hotel after the match and after they had chatted for so long till the early hours of the morning (on Monday) he decided to leave for his place,”.
Kano Pillars top the league table with 17 points even after drawing 1-1 with Rangers International in a week 10 NPFL match.
