BENIN—All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State will tomorrow  kick off its campaigns ahead of the March 3, 2018 local government elections.

This was disclosed by the state chairman of the party, Mr. Anslem Ojezua, after a meeting with the state governor  and chairmanship candidates of the party across the 18 councils of the state.

According to Ojezua, “As the party prepares for the council polls, the governor is making efforts to change the narrative with local government administration in the state. This is because of the reputation of the council administrators which made them to be the least trusted by the people.

“We are going to kick off our campaigns soon and the leadership of the APC in the state is confident that its candidates will be returned at the March 3 polls because of the performance of the governor in the past one year in office.

“At the meeting, the governor expressed  concern about the local governments being a critical level of government and made his intention known to candidates, especially to ensure that they are on the same page with his vision to transform the state.”
