ASABA—The Not Too Young To Lead, a youth initiative to mainstream youths into leadership positions in Nigeria, has commended Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State for his visionary leadership, especially in the appointment of youths into his cabinet.
The commendation was made by the National Co-coordinator of the group, Comrade Elvis Akpobi, at a press briefing in Asaba.
Comrade Akpobi noted that the Creek Governor, Dickson, displayed his belief in the youth with the recent appointments of Hon. Ibarakumo Otobo as Commissioner for Youth and Hon. Victor Isaiah as Chairman of Brass Caretaker Committee, adding that the newly appointed duo are vibrant youths who are trusted to deliver on their mandate.
He charged them to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by bringing the much needed innovation and youthful vigour into governance.
The Not too Young to Lead campaigners, equally commended Delta State governor for appointing young people into positions of governance, while calling on other governors to emulate the visionary policies of Dickson and Okowa by creating opportunities for youths in leadership positions across the country.
