Abuja – Details of events earmarked to commemorate the second anniversary of the passing away of the Minister of State for Employment, Chief James Ocholi, have been released in Abuja by a trust set up in his memory.

Under the programme put together by Leadership Values Promotion and Reorientation Trust, LEVPRO, Ocholi’s second anniversary is to marked by with three key leadership lectures on March 6, 2018 in Abuja.

According to a statement signed by the Dr. Dan Ogun, who was Ocholi’s political adviser and Mr. Adaji O, former Personal Assistant to the late minister, the annual lectures series will be followed by the launching of a non-profit organisation in honour of the late legal luminary.

The three lectures, which relate to youth involvement in leadership in Nigeria, are to be addressed by three prominent Nigerian scholars, Professors Okuli Ochuli, Sam Amdii and Suleiman Nchi.

Professor Ochuli will speak on the topic “The Future of Leadership in Nigeria: Any Space for the youth?” while Professor Sam Amdii will handle another topic: “The Youths, National Values and Future of Nigeria”.

On the other hand, the topic, “As it was in the beginning: Any Hope for Future Nigeria in Servant-Leadership Paradigm?” will be addressed by Professor Suleiman Nchi.

The three lectures are to be discussed by Prof James Jacobs and Dr. Uyim Akpabio, an ethics specialist in Nigeria.

The late Minister, his wife Blessing, and son Joshua died in a road accident a year ago on Kaduna-Abuja road on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

The first lecture in honour of the late minister last year had has it theme: “Looking Backwards to Move Nigeria Forward: Challenges and Choices before the APC Administration,” delivered by Prof. Kabir Mato and Biography on Ocholi authored by Dr Dan Ogun as well as special church thanksgiving service at Foundation Faith Church, Utako on the same day.”
