OLEH—RECTOR of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, Prof. Job Akpodiete, has warned students of the institution against indulging in cultism, prostitution, hooliganism and other vices, saying that the polytechnic will not hesitate to sanction erring students.
Speaking during the polytechnic’s 2017/2018 matriculation ceremony, Akpodiete said the vision of the polytechnic was to “become a world class institution that offers 21st century academic and technological programmes supported by state of the art facilities in a conducive environment comparable to global standards.”
He assured that the students will be exposed to different areas of entrepreneurship “through hands-on-skills acquisition during the course of your study in this polytechnic that will assist you to be employers of labour rather than job seekers on graduation.
“Most of the building projects executed by past and current administrations had inputes of students and staff in the School of Engineering and Environmental Studies.”
