Benue IDPs get N15m items, borehole

MAKURDI— Relief came the way of thousands of inmates at Gbajimba internally-displaced persons, IDPs, camp in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State Thursdday, following the donation of a motorised borehole and items valued at over N15 million by Uzotex Charity Foundation.

Making the donation to Governor Samuel Ortom at Gbajimba, President of the Foundation, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, head of Shanghai Engineering and Industrial Works, mother body of the foundation, said the organisation was moved by the plight of the victims.
Receiving the items on behalf of the government and people of the state, Governor Ortom commended the foundation for the gesture, reiterating his call for the country to adopt ranching.

Items donated are 250 bags of rice, 80 cartons of tomatoes, 300 cartons of noodles, 10 bags of tissue paper, 40 cartons of groundnut oil, 30 bags of slippers and a motorised borehole.
