Steve Ayorinde, the new Lagos commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture is no doubt of one of the stars in Governor Ambode’s cabinet set up. The former commissioner for information who was recently redeployed to the tourism ministry has continued to be a blessing to Lagos through his sterling performance as a public office holder.
Mr. Steve Ayorinde, who is reputed for his transformational ideas has hit the ground running at the tourism ministry. According to information available, Steve’s next big assignment is to reinvigorate the ‘T.H.E.S.E’ sphere in Lagos State: the creative space – Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment and Arts sector. As one of the few who is of the belief that the creative economy is the new oil and gas, the new commissioner is presently on a mission to turn the sector to one of the biggest in Africa.
The commissioner and the team under his watch will work with other State institutions and agencies to deliver a top notch economically beneficial tourism marketing strategy built on attractions and exposure of Lagos to the global tourism audience”
