A group, Global Peace and Life Rescue Initiative (GOPRI) on Tuesday held a one-day non denominational and non political prayer for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf Buhari who was involved in a bike accident recently.
Prayers were also organised for leaders in the country and for the for economy, prosperity, peace and stability of Nigeria in 2018 .
Speaking at the occasion in Jos, GOPRI Executive Director, Melvin Ejeh noted that the prayers were organised based on the realisation of the need for citizens to continually pray for their leaders.
“As Nigerians, we need to always have our country at heart and pray for our leaders at all times.”
“The nation is undergoing positive changes under the leadership of President Buhari and therefore needs our encouragement, support and prayers for him to succeed in building a better Nigeria”.
Ejeh also called on citizens of the country to pray for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf who was involved in an accident about a week ago.
“We are using Yusuf Buhari as a point of contact to all those who are sick and pray that God would heal them.”
He further urged all Nigerians to be their brothers’ keeper and shun vices that could jeopardize the efforts of government towards enabling the citizens to realise their life ambitions.
Prayers were said both from Christian and Islamic clerics.
