Prominent Niger Delta activist and chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Chief Micheal Johnny, has said he was still consulting with relevant leaders and stakeholders in Delta South senatorial district on his senate ambition for 2019.

Johnny, at a meeting yesterday in Warri, with some key supporters, assured them that the call on him to run for Senate to represent Delta South in 2019 was being considered and a decision will be taken by the end of February.

He said: “I am grateful to my teaming followers and key supporters in Delta South senatorial district who have been putting pressure on me to declare for the Senate. Please, I urge you all to remain focused. I can assure you that my consultation is ongoing and by the grace of God by February I will make my decision known to you and the people of Delta South.”

Johnny, immediate past Chairman of Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation EGCDF, further disclosed that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, will surely produce the Senator for Delta South in 2019 and called on APC members and electorates in the district to prepare for the election.

He appealed to Nigerians to live in peace and unity and described the senseless killings by suspected herdsmen in the North and parts of the country which must stop now as an unforgivable sin before God.
