ASABA—THE people of Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja communities in Warri South West and Udu Local Government Areas of Delta State have been told to pursue peace and live in harmony in order to attract meaningful development to the locality.
The Amakosuwei of Ogbe-ijoh Kingdom, Chief John Arigbogha, who made the call while inaugurating the new governing council for Ogbe Ijoh community, tasked the new council, led by Friday Deighan, to work tirelessly to ensure peace and development of the kingdom.
Emphasizing that no meaningful development can thrive in an atmosphere of rancour, Arigbogha stressed the need for both communities to come to terms on the need to end the lingering crisis among them.
He enjoined the newly installed Ogbe-Ijoh governing council to intensify its efforts on enthroning peace to attract both local and foreign investments to the kingdom.
Aribogha, who spoke through Captain Dick Youbai, also sued for cooperation from neighbouring communities. The new Ogbe-Ijoh Governing council Chairman, Mr Deighan said that Ogbe-Ijoh people were peace loving, identifying peace and hard work as the driving force needed to advance the growth of the kingdom.
