Super 6: Yusuf to field new set of CHAN Eagles against Enyimba

Super Eagles team B coach, Salisu Yusuf  revealed that he will be fielding a new set of players against Enyimba in today’s Super 6 tie.

The Eagles are using the tournament to prepare for the CAF African Nations Championship starting January 13 in Morocco. The team were held to a goalless draw by Nigeria Professional League champions Plateau United on Wednesday.

“We are testing players,  we played eight new players against Plateau United and the result of the match does not matter,” he said.

“The players took responsibilities and they did not do too badly.  We will try another new set of players for our next game against Enyimba.”

Yusuf admitted that there was more work to be done to put the team in top condition for the tournament.

“Since the WAFU Cup, this is our first game together and, though the team still has some ways to go before the CHAN, all the vacuums will be taken care of in the few days we have before we depart for Morocco.”
