Delta State chapter of Oil and Solid Minerals Producing Areas Landlords Association of Nigeria, OMPALAN, has pledged to liaise between oil bearing communities in the Niger Delta region and the Federal Government to ensure lasting peace in the region consistently bedeviled with restiveness and leadership squabbles.

OMPALAN, Delta State chapter, made the position in a paper at its monthly meeting at Ejeme-Uno, Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State, through its state Chairman, Sir Clement Okonjo, saying, “OMPALAN, is made up of persons of high integrity who hereby guarantee total peace in the troubled Niger Delta region by working as umpire between the communities and the government with a view to fast-tracking government’s developmental stride in the area.

“There is no doubt that the region has been grossly depleted following years of oil exploration and exploitation. The people and government can count on OMPALAN for reliable representation.”
