Joan Theodora Homes for the needy, Lagos, has opened charity homes for the aged and needy. The home which is located on Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos was dedicated by Reverend Gabriel Ugochi of St Patrick Church, Ipaja, Lagos.
The Homes, which is the pet project of Sir and Lady Tosin Adedoyin, has been furnished with the basic needs of the elderly and homeless. Speaking after the tour, Rev. Ugochi enjoined all present to donate to the smooth running of the charity home.
While commending the financial sacrifice the Adedoyins have made to establish the Homes, he encouraged all good spirited Nigerians to contribute whatever they can to make the charity home comfortable for the elderly and needy.
In her address at the inauguration of the Homes, Lady Marcelina Adedoyin said it has been the dream of the family to give back to the society and do anything that will provide succor and relief to the elderly and needy. She decried the current trend among the youths to abandon their elderly parents who they now see as nuisance.
