Successful wives have been counselled to remain humble and behave appropriately whenever fate entrusts them with the family’s financial responsibility.

This is the message in the current episode of the Glo-sponsored TV drama series, Professor Johnbull.

In the episode, entitled ‘Breadwinner,’ the social satire showcases the situation in the home of the Peters, where the head of the family, Mr. Peters, lost his job, resulting in the financial responsibilities of the family shifting to Mrs Peters.

A highly educative episode, ‘Breadwinner’ highlights the role of “bread winner” in the home, and viewers are in for an interesting evening, as Professor Johnbull handles the issue in a witty and entertaining manner.

Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo) in his usual style, advises successful wives to comport themselves appropriately, adding that love that exists between the man and the woman is what matters most and not who provides the ‘bread.’

Some pertinent questions thrown up (and answered) by the thought-provoking and hilarious episode are: should a woman earn more than the man? Who should be the financial manager in the home? Should a woman quit a well-paying job to please her husband? Why are men threatened by the level of success attained by their wives?
