Cleric urges Nigerians to be productive

By Olayinka Latona

LAGOS—Director of Operations for Africa, Kingsword Ministries International, Pastor Tunde Akinyemi has charged Nigerians to develop the ability to be productive, to build a strong and virile country.

Akinyemi made the call while addressing journalists during a press conference to herald the forthcoming Supernatural Convention of the Church tagged: ‘’On Eagles Wings: No Ordinary Fight’’, which opened from Sunday, 10th of December  through 17, Dec. 2017 at  the church Nigeria headquarters, Oregun, Lagos.

The cleric said it is time that Nigerians do away with ethnicity and religion diffrences but rather join hands in building a united nation to attract more development to the country.

He challenged Nigerians to arise, do what is right at all times and depart from corruption that had seriously affected the nation and embrace the word of God.

The cleric further urged the government and other stakeholders to empower the less privileged in the society.

In his words: “The church should take up social initiatives by feeding the poor and empowering the youths by giving some of them scholarship.

“I believe that if everyone is involved, it would reduce the nation’s challenges and make Nigeria a better place for everyone.”
