Buhari @ 75: APC, govs, Ooni, others eulogize President

…He’s creating a new Nigeria, says APC

ABUJA—The All Progressives Congress APC, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State have congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his 75th birthday.

Specifically, APC urged Nigerians to keep faith with the president as he strives to enhance the fortunes of the country.

APC In a statement by its National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the party said; “We attest that under his leadership, the President Muhammadu Buhari administration is building a new Nigeria for our progress, peace, unity and prosperity; restoring our country to its deserved standing among the comity of progressive nations; fighting corruption and repairing our value system; diversifying our economic revenue base, creating jobs and economic opportunities for Nigerians; bringing succour to the insurgency-ravaged North-East; reforming the oil, defence, pensions, and other critical sectors and creating a world-class transport system, among others.”

Similarly, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, in his message described President Buhari, as an incorruptible leader driven by uncommon discipline.

He has a heart of gold — OONI

Ooni Ogunwusi who is a Co-chairman of the National Traditional Rulers Council Of Nigeria in a statement by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafare, said among others, that “Mr President is in no doubt an internationally respected Nigerian leader with a heart of gold who has worked tirelessly to ensure a better society with his unwavering message of justice, compassion, peace and human dignity which has made him an inspiration to people around the world.”

He has paid his dues in service — Ekweremadu

Also, Ekweremadu through his Special Adviser, Media, Uche Anichukwu, described President Buhari as an elder statesman, who had continued to pay his dues in service to the nation.

He said: “I believe that power belongs to God and that every leader is called by Him at an appointed time for a purpose. On behalf of my family and constituents, therefore, I pray God, who has called you, to continue to support you with length of days, sound health, wisdom, grace, and indeed all that it takes to etch your days and stewardship in gold in the annals of the nation. “

On his part, Governor Ortom  in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said: “The giant strides taken by President Buhari to pull the country out of recession are unprecedented and I am confident thathe will do more for Nigerians in the months and years to come.

For Governor, Emmanuel, In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekrete Udoh, “Governor Emmanuel wishes the President continuous good health and God’s eternal protection.”

In the same vein, a chieftain of APC in Delta State, Mr Essien Benjamin Okiemute, described President Buhari as  the new image of Nigeria.

Okiemute, a former member, representing Isoko South 1, Delta State House of Assembly, in a statement by his Media Office, yesterday, said: “It is clear fact President Muhammadu Buhari is restoring the lost of Nigeria, under the President Buhari, the world now respects Nigeria. I praise the Nigerian leader, President Muhammadu Buhari for his patriotic and unrelenting service to the nation.”

Governor Ortom cited one of the President’s popular quotes as the hallmark of determination in service to fatherland, “this generation of Nigerians, and, indeed the future generation, have no country other than Nigeria; we shall stay and salvage it together”.
