THE World Federation of Advertisers, WFA, has endorsed the 2017 edition of the annual Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) awards, as other West African countries send entries.
This was disclosed by the newly elected president of ADVAN, Folake Ani-Mumuney, at the unveiling of association’s 25th anniversary logo and introduction of its executives in Lagos.
Ani-Mumuney said: “‘Over the years, ADVAN has made it a point of duty in acknowledging and rewarding marketing professionals that have made outstanding contributions to the profession. With the yearly awards for Marketing Excellence, ADVAN has always prepared for the event with a view to highlighting the fundamental position marketing occupies in business and public sectors, and to celebrate marketing achievements across a range of industries.
“The Award has always been a celebration of hard work and ingenuity in the marketing profession as well as journalists who report the integrated marketing communications industry.”
In a bid to adequately award Marketing Excellence in its true form, winners will be awarded in 11 categories which include, Brand of the Year, Brand Manager of the Year, Campaign of the Year, Consumer Promotion, corporate social responsibility, CSR, Brand Journalist of the Year and others.
She also said the panel of judges have already been constituted which include, Mrs. Abigail Ogwezzy Ndisika of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, Dr. Obiaya Ikechukwu Dean, School of Media & Communication (SMC)Pan- Atlantic University Mrs. Elo Iyayi – Managing Director ShareMind Lagos, Mr. Lanre Adisa Managing Director Noah’ Ark Communications to mention a few. The award holds November 2017 in Lagos.
