Speakers at a one-day prayer conference for Lagos State and Nigeria at 57 have urged the Church to wake up to its responsibilities to achieve economic stability and good governance.
The prayer conference organised by Ministers of God Prayer Network International, MGPNI, at the Chapel of Christ the Light Church, Alausa-Ikeja, Lagos, with the theme: ‘Nigeria Must Not Fall’, stated that the state of despondency, distress, affliction, insecurity in the nation is a wake-up call on the Church to intensify its prayers.
National President of the group, Bishop Bola Oyegbami is of the opinion that the nation is sick because the Church is also sick, urging it to rise and play its role.
She said: “The circumstances we find ourselves demands that the fire must be kept burning at the altar of prayer. It must not be quenched. We must do exactly what Nehemiah did in his days.
