Prince Umukoro who plays pop and ballad with a tincture of reggae got selected after submitting his latest single ‘A Brighter Day’.

“It came as a big surprise to me, that my song could be selected from all the songs that were submitted. To the best of my knowledge, my song ‘A Brighter Day’ is the only Nigerian song being selected to perform at the Coast 2 Coast Live and compete in the world championship. This is a great lift for me,” he said.

The world championship which holds later in 2018 at Miami Beach parades top notch judges like Mary G. Blige, LL Cool J. Fat Joe and many others. Winner of the world championship is expected to walk away with 50 thousand U.S. Dollars.

Prince Umukoro, aka ‘The Kabalistic’ believes in the philosophy of the goodness of life and the survival of the living.

“I’m very much interested in the emancipation of the suffering masses and the good of not only our nation but the world. I have been preaching this since 1993 when I released my first album titled ‘Suffering’ and then the second album titled ‘Good’ in 1996, after which I relaxed a bit, and then in 1999, I contested the presidential elections of PMAN with King Sunny Ade which he won and I was drafted into Copyright committee in PMAN then.I am from Sapele in Delta State, Nigeria, and all my life I’ve always believed in the survival of the living,” he once told Potpourri in an interview.
