The Dr. Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation has welcomed last weekend’s endorsement of its campaign by Senator Uche Ekwunife saying that her desire for change in Anambra State would not be disappointed with a Nwyoe administration in power.

The campaign, in a statement issued in Awka also welcomed the string of endorsements by some notable Anambra political stakeholders praising them for braving the odds to speak truth to power in the state. Besides Ekwunife, Hon. Pauly Onyeka, formerly Special Adviser on Assembly Liaison to Governor Willie Obiano had also recently defected from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA to support Dr. Nwoye.

Mrs. Ekwunife a major political stakeholder in the state had last weekend following a meeting with about 1,000 of her supporters endorsed Dr. Nwoye, the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the forthcoming election saying that he provided the best option of all the variables needed to bring change to the state.

In demonstration of her commitment, Mrs. Ekwunife collapsed her political structure into the Nwoye Campaign and directed her supporters to work for the success of the APC candidate.
Welcoming the endorsement, the Nwoye Campaign in a statement issued by campaign spokesman, Barrister Nonso Madu said:

“We welcome Iyom Ekwunife’s endorsement and it is a reflection of the fact that her tact and truthfulness on the issue of the future of Anambra State. That this endorsement was reached after she met with her supporters is an encouragement to everyone in the frontline in the battle to save Anambra State from the brink to which the Willie Obiano administration has dragged our state.

“Dr. Nwoye as governor would not disappoint the people of the state and all those who are openly and quietly backing the campaign. When it comes to the issues of governance and the interests of Ndi Anambra, Dr. Nwoye would be sober at all times and will not regard the felt needs of the people as a partying affair.”

“The Nwoye Campaign also appreciates all those across the parties including APGA who have been either quietly or openly supportive of the crusade to change the Obiano government.”

Pauly Onyeka who left his position in the APGA administration to back the Nwoye campaign on the fact that the Obiano administration had neglected his people in Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
