LAGOS—The Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry has called on the Federal Government to improve the infrastructure of the Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS,venue of the on going Lagos International Trade Fair.

The call was made, yesterday, by the Director- General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, Mr Muda Yusuf, at the on-going Lagos International Trade Fair.

Yusuf decried the rigours which both local and international investors undergo as a result of the poor infrastructure of the International Trade Fair.

He said: “Enabling environment is a catalyst to the growth of the Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria and we have sufficient exhibitors from Europe, U.S.A, Asia and other African countries. These investors want to seize the advantage of the numerous exhibitors to create an enabling business partnership.”

He noted that the investors’ level of  confidence during the previous year’s International Trade Fair was not as encouraging as the on-going exhibition which according to him has improved appreciably.

Similarly, he assured all exhibitors at the Fair, especially the Small and Medium Enterprises of improvement at the end of the Fair.
